Key Responsibilities and Applicant’s Qualifications:                       Provide strategic and tactical direction to MIS initiatives and be responsible for evaluation, implementation and support of technology solutions

One of my key strengths is assuring quality and functionality through strong process management, utilizing Six Sigma techniques. A clear understanding of the existing business is the crucial component to mapping the appropriate technology path, and one of the first tasks I execute when coming into a new organization is to develop a thorough understanding of the organization’s operations, procedures, and needs. Operational excellence, customer intimacy, and product leadership are cornerstones of strategic planning: these are all areas I’ve studied, addressed and improved at each organization of which I’ve been a part. ·     Assess & implement appropriate global, enterprise wide systems solutions for financial, human resource and customer relationship management functions

Working exclusively in high level positions with Fortune 500 companies throughout my career has afforded me the opportunity to observe and learn a multitude of approaches to assessing a company’s needs, and applying ideal technologies in any environment with the proper governance for ongoing growth and maintenance.   ·

Develop a world class MIS organization capable of supporting a global remit

Prior to my employment at AlliedSignal (now Honeywell) I developed expert technology troubleshooting and implementation skills. At AlliedSignal, I was introduced to the process of Total Quality. Using a combination of my technological skills and my knowledge of Total Quality, I have created World-class IT organizations at each company at which I have been involved in Information Technology Management. I have earned national acclaim, including mention in widely read IT trade magazines, and three Smithsonian award nominations, for my innovative, industry-leading IT skills and achievements.  My experience has also involved integrating many areas and departments within organizations, such as software development, HR functions, customer service, financial, and training, to achieve global excellence.

·                     Focus on improving the security, functionality and deliverability of Co business system infrastructure Upon receiving my government clearance in 1994 I have worked many classified and top secret projects involving data and secure computing for various branches of government while working with AlliedSignal and Raytheon. Carrying that knowledge forward I utilized and honed my security skills on many levels using a variety of advanced tools and approaches. I am a current member of Infragard, which is an FBI run security taskforce that makes realtime security threat, both cyber and homeland security based, available to it’s members. In order to be a member one must get the equivalence of an FBI confidential clearance. None of the secure networks that I designed and managed have had any penetrations. I have experience designing systems for optimal security, functionality and deliverability, equally weighing the importance of each leg of this “IT triad”, so that each is functioning at optimal levels in a symbiotic, complimentary manner.

·                     Manage resources against prioritized MIS initiatives and create standards for network, hardware and software for all corporate functions including ERP, email, network and desktop applications I have led many initiatives to create homogenous networking environments while staying within predefined budgetary allowances, the largest consisting of 33,000 desktops. The net result was an “evergreen environment” with a cost savings of over 30 percent. ·                     Work closely with functional counterparts throughout the organization

My twenty years of management experience encompass a unique mix of executive, line and staff assignments, each demonstrating an analytic approach to decision-making and positive business results. I consider relationship building to be paramount to an organization’s success.

·         Job Specifications:         Minimum of 15 years MIS related work experience6 years                  Technical Manager Micro-age2 years                  Systems Manager OCPA4 years                  Manager/

Director AlliedSignal (now Honeywell)

1 year

Director IT Columbia Energy4 years

Director Raytheon2 years                  VP IT Tommy Hilfiger 19 years total

·                     Proven track record in delivering cost effective and on time enterprise system projects Please refer to the “demonstrated ability to lead corporate wide projects” item.

·                     Experience with Oracle is strongly preferred  Each organization I have led has had large scale Oracle installations for a multitude of applications.  ·

Within just 130 days of its inception in March 2000, Exostar was facilitating trade among members of the global aerospace and defense community.  70,000 transactions per week.

  • Implemented SAP R3 in three divisions simultaneously, Nantes France, Rhode Island, and Torrance, CA.

Attracted and motivated essential employees into the business

·                     Must have excellent project management skillsI am certified in project management  ·                     Proven ability in developing world class organizations

In each of the IT Management positions I have held, I have worked closely with Internal Customers to assess needs, analyze optimal operations while staying within defined budgets, and have developed IT systems that exceed the requirements of all facets of the organization. Columbia Energy, AlliedSignal and Raytheon are known in their respective industries for having world class IT operations; I was directly involved in the development of IT Systems at all three of these companies. Working together with the individuals under my management, I strived to define what “world class” would mean within these organizations.  ·                     Experience with Sarbanes-Oxley and related impact on MIS

Each organization I have led has been managed to audit, and SOP was designed to be in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley on an ongoing basis. This approach normally encompassed all IT based Sarbanes issues automatically. The specific methodology was a mixture of Big Six IT audit material and SIE/CMM and IT security processes. Each Sarbanes audit would pass without issue. Leadership meetings were part of the 404 compliance process on a monthly basis.

·                     Ability to perform payback analysis and calculate system ROI’s

I consider Payback Analysis and System ROI calculation standard fare among each project I manage. I prefer to engage CFO partnering to approve the approach. GAAP formulas apply for Legacy and proven technologies, however, with emerging technology a hybrid approach is sometimes necessary. ·                     Strong communications and presentation skills

As I am fastidious in all aspects of my IT Organization Management, I find it as easy and enjoyable task to present my ideas, findin  and opinions to any group, internally or externally. Confidence in my abilities and thorough knowledge of my work allows for concise and clear interdepartmental communication.
